BookPeople is accepting applications for multiple positions, including booksellers and a full time Events Coordinator!
We are hiring an Events Coordinator to help manage almost 400 events in the store each year. The job includes managing staff, interacting with authors and publishers, and helping with our marketing efforts for events. The complete job description is here. We are looking for enthusiastic booksellers to join our team on the floor. Job duties include but are not limited to:
*Providing exceptional customer service to shoppers in our store & over the phone.
*Stocking books on our shelves, special ordering books for customers
*Recommending books that are the right fit for customers, hand-selling them the perfect next read or gift
*Ringing up sales for our customers using cash & credit cards at our registers.
Gifts Inventory Manager
This is a part time position (24-32 hours/wk), and applicants MUST be able to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Job duties include but are not limited to:
*Re-stock, rotate, and merchandise non-book items
*Create & maintain displays, signage
*Assist customers & booksellers in recommending, finding, and handling gift items
*Applicant should be organized, detail-oriented, efficient, and a team player
*Legible hand-writing a must, art skills a plus
