Baker & Taylor Publisher Services (BTPS), is currently seeking a Director, Gift & Special Sales to join our team. Responsibilities of the Director, Gift and Special Sales include building and running a robust sales department which maximizes sales of adult and children’s books to retail and wholesale accounts in all markets outside the book trade. Expanding the special sales account base and hiring and managing a commission gift sales force are essential and keys to the growth of BTPS. The director will personally call on a small number of national house accounts.

Essential Job Duties:
- Identifying and helping to sign prospective client publishers
- Frequent domestic travel to accounts, sales meetings, industry events, and trade shows is required
We would like our talented associate for this role to have at least these minimum skills & experience:
- Five or more years of experience managing a gift and/or special markets sales team, with a strong track record of increasing sales
- Westchester, IL (Chicago), Ashland, OH, or Bridgewater, NJ
Baker & Taylor, a premier worldwide distributor of digital and print books and entertainment products, recently launched Baker & Taylor Publisher Services (BTPS). This new business unit will offer children’s, trade, K-12, higher education and academic publishers economical solutions for warehousing and order fulfillment, sales and marketing support, inventory management and virtual inventory programs, book manufacturing including offset and digital short run, POD, and editorial services.
