Jr. Sales & Operations Analyst

Ingram Content Group, Inc. (ICG) is currently seeking a Junior Sales & Operations Analyst to join our Analytics team as part of the Ingram Publisher Services (IPS) division in New York City. In this role, the Junior Sales & Operations Analyst will work closely with the Director of Business Operations & Analysis to support the Ingram Publisher Services Shared Sales team (Field, Mass Merchandisers, Gift and Special Sales) by producing various sales reports, building presentations, and providing data analysis to help the team measure effectiveness in achieving their goals.

The Junior Sales & Operations Analyst will work closely and cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Client Relations, and other ICG departments to ensure that timely and accurate data is available to support reporting and analysis. This role is also responsible for maintaining sales rep coding in the systems, calculating rep commission, and providing support for standard reporting and analysis packages.


Essential Job Duties:

Compile and transform raw data into meaningful and useful reports to reveal sales and operational performance insights, and to enable effective strategic and tactical decision making.

Produce regular, periodic (daily, weekly, and monthly), and ad hoc reporting to be used by shared sales, accounts, publishers, and senior management.

Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of sales rep coding and monthly commission calculations.

Perform various information-gathering and analysis tasks such as Financial and Sales performance, backlist analysis, sales channel analysis, gift shows analytical, industry trends analysis, historical sales volume, scorecards that will be presented to clients or senior leadership.

Assist in analysis and preparations of presentations for monthly business development meetings and accounts business reviews or updates.

Act as the repository for shared sales meet the competition requests.

Collaborate with the Director of Business Operations & Analysis to streamline analytical processes and create dashboards/templates for accurate analysis and reporting.


Minimum Qualifications:


Bachelor’s Degree or year for year related experience

2+ years of publishing experience


Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced skills in Excel, Power Point, and other MS Office Applications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related publishing studies.

Experience in publishing, sales, book retail, supply chain, operations, or product distribution/procurement

Experience with reporting, forecasting, and analyzing sales data

Experience with additional reporting platforms and databases
