BOOM! Studios, an entertainment company located in Los Angeles, CA is looking for a professional, reliable, personable addition to our team to fill the role of Publicist for the publishing division. Will report to the Vice President, Marketing. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in PR/Marketing, experience in leading a team, and someone who has a passion for the comic book industry.

Essential Job Functions (including but not limited to):
Work with company’s management teams to identify key marketing priorities on a quarterly basis
Work with VP, Marketing to conceptualize, plan, and coordinate the delivery of comprehensive, targeted marketing plans for key initiatives, including identifying overall goal/message, identifying creative concepts, target audience and deliverables for internal teams and creators
Coordinate and manage all marketing plans, miscellaneous press coverage, press releases, and other press-facing marketing to ensure consistent, effective, and optimized schedule based on internal targeted schedule
Pitch, secure, and coordinate all press coverage with a focus on maximizing high level coverage on key mainstream and industry-specific outlets
Act as brand ambassador for the company to the press, creators, and industry-at-large
Coordinate the weekly release of preview files and review galleys to company’s press list
Coordinate and send out consistent, engaging press releases to company’s press list for all appropriate projects, conventions, events, and other announcements
Conceptualize and coordinate all print and digital advertising with VP, Marketing
Work effectively and productively with all other departments to accomplish company goals and initiatives
Assist the other members of the Marketing Team in the execution of their Essential Functions as needed
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Hours: 9:00-6:00 Monday through Friday.
