Who said there are no second acts in the publishing world or books?
Certainly not MacAdam/Cage or Joseph Di Prisco, who chose the historic Chapel of the Chimes Mausoleum in Oakland, Calif., for the launch of Di Prisco's new novel, All For Now. Guests donned funereal attire and some even dressed as butterflies, matching the book's afterlife theme and butterfly cover. In some ways, the occasion was a resurrection for a publisher that has risen above economic challenges. With music played by David Gan and the Sycamore Slough String Band, a renowned Grateful Dead cover band, and a tattoo artist providing temporary but elaborate butterfly tattoos, the party could have waked the dead.
