Nicole Sullivan, owner of BookBar, Denver, Colo., told us that "BookBar artist Anamaria LaRosa re-created the cover of Peter Heller's Celine during the First Friday Art Walk on Tennyson Street, just right outside BookBar's front door. Customers cast votes from four possible book covers in the week leading up to the event. Her live chalk art got a lot of attention from passersby both during and after the event. And it led to book sales. Many people stopped in to compliment us on the artwork, then remarked that it had reminded them that they wanted to buy and read the book. BookBar will be hosting live book cover street art every First Friday--weather permitting."
