The Bookstore Manager for Old Town Books will be responsible for daily retail operations including: staff training and scheduling; ordering, receiving, and returning books; special orders and online order fulfillment. The manager will assist with community engagement, including: content marketing; bookclub outreach; special events.
The individual in this role will: create a positive and friendly shop environment through excellent customer service; work as a team and collaborate with colleagues; be a flexible and creative thinker comfortable with self-directed problem solving.
The ideal candidate has 3 years of retail management experience, preferably with at least one year in an independent bookstore setting.
This is a part-time role for six months beginning November 2018, with the opportunity to grow as the business expands in early 2019.
