As a new member of the Libro.fm team, the Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in expanding our B2B program. This individual will be responsible for managing incoming leads, identifying new partnership opportunities, and building a robust sales pipeline. By leveraging tailored outreach and delivering impactful demonstrations, you will drive the growth of Libro.fm for Business and work to exceed our annual revenue targets.
This role is a new addition to the Libro.fm team, reporting to the Senior Director of Customer Experience. General working hours are Monday through Friday, 9AM - 5PM. This position is fully remote.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Expertise:
- Gain an in-depth understanding of Libro.fm for Business offerings and how they meet customer needs.
- Recommend tailored solutions that align with the goals of prospective clients.
- Share best practices and success stories to ensure new accounts maximize their engagement with our platform.
Sales:
- Review and respond to inbound leads promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to enhance program visibility and boost inbound sales.
- Prepare and deliver compelling demos and presentations to potential clients.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers and potential customers.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and proactively follow up with prospects, managing conversations and negotiations to deal close.
Project Management:
- Schedule and execute sales calls efficiently.
- Prepare quotes, invoices, and service orders accurately.
- Oversee the execution of service orders and ensure proper documentation.
- Refine pipeline and deal cycle tracking processes for leadership reporting.
- Facilitate smooth transitions to the Customer Success team post-sale.
Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to increase revenue for the Libro.fm for Business program.
- Partner with Product and Marketing teams to address feedback, enhance program visibility, and align efforts with company objectives.
- Provide regular updates on business development activities and outcomes to the Libro.fm leadership team.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales.
- Sales operations experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce (SFDC), Monday.com, or similar platforms.
- Proven track record of developing successful sales strategies and achieving targets.
- Experience in resolving challenges through creative problem-solving.
- Understanding of Human Resources, People Operations, and Employee Enablement is advantageous.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Proven relationship-building skills, particularly at the executive level.
- Enthusiastic about improving internal processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.

- Salary:
- U.S. - $50,000 - $80,000 annual base plus commission, with on-target earnings potentially reaching 100% or more of the base
- U.K. - £40,000 - £60,000 annual base plus commission, with on-target earnings potentially reaching 100% or more of the base commission
