Paul McVeigh has won the Polari First Book Prize for his novel, The Good Son, according to the Bookseller. The prize is awarded to "a writer whose first book explores the LGBT experience, whether in poetry, prose, fiction or non-fiction."
For the first time, a runner up prize was awarded: Juliet Jacques won this for Trans.
