The National Book Critics Circle announced the finalists for the 2010 awards this evening. They include Jonathan Franzen's Freedom; Paul Murray's Skippy Dies; Siddhartha Mukherjee's The Emperor of All Maladies; Patti Smith's Just Kids; and Christopher Hitchens's Hitch-22.
