Senior Contracts Manager, Adult Imprints

Position: Full-Time, Hybrid
- Drafting and negotiating author agreements and amendments for a wide variety of imprints across the company
- Drafting and/or reviewing all work-for-hire agreements, including responding to editor queries about such agreements
- Assigning, reviewing and checking the work of junior staff members and providing mentorship.
- Drafting (as applicable), reviewing and negotiating third party licenses
- Reviewing and signing payment requests
- Reviewing, advising on and approving deal memos/offer terms for editors and publishers
- Reviewing responses to publishing rights reversion requests (as applicable).
- Fielding queries from editors, agents and other colleagues
- Other duties as may reasonably be assigned
- At least 3-5 years of high performance and autonomous drafting experience and expertise with standard and complex contracts terms
- Direct experience and comfort negotiating with agents
- Expertise in word, power point, excel and other standard computer programs (experience with a title management system is a plus, but if not, we’ll show you ours)
- Good communicator and team player
- Self motivator and dependable
