First introduced in 2016 in John Grisham's The Whistler, Lacy Stoltz is back. It's been three years since the Florida Board of Judicial Conduct investigator tracked down a judge on the take from the Coast Mafia in Florida. This time Lacy, now approaching 40 years old, has in her sights a judge who may be a serial killer.
Lacy meets a woman so terrified that she uses a number of aliases. The woman's father, murdered 20 years ago, has become a cold case. But this woman has been stalking the man she suspects of killing her father ever since, and in those two decades, she's found other victims she believes were murdered by the same suspect.
