In the immediate aftermath of the Second World War, as the world grapples with the unveiled horrors of the Holocaust, the Allied powers face an unprecedented challenge: how to bring the surviving members of the Nazi regime to justice. Under the leadership of Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson (Michael Shannon), the Allies establish an international tribunal in Nuremberg--a city once synonymous with the rise of the Third Reich--to ensure that the Nazi high command answers for its crimes against humanity.

Among those tasked with this monumental effort is U.S. Army psychiatrist Lt. Col. Douglas Kelley (Rami Malek), assigned the extraordinary duty of assessing the mental state of the captured Nazi hierarchy, including Hermann Göring (Russell Crowe), the notorious former Reichsmarschall and Hitler's second in command. What begins as a medical evaluation becomes a dangerous psychological duel, as Kelley finds himself drawn into Göring's charisma and cunning, uncovering a sobering truth: that ordinary men can commit extraordinary evil.

As Justice Jackson, aided by David Maxwell-Fyfe (Richard E. Grant), Col. John Amen (Mark O’Brien), Gustave Gilbert (Colin Hanks), and Sgt. Howie Triest (Leo Woodall), builds the foundation for modern international law, the film interweaves two battles--one for legal justice, and one for the soul of mankind. Through Kelley's probing interviews and Jackson's pursuit of truth, NUREMBERG reveals how power, ideology, and intellect can intertwine to enable atrocity, and how the quest for justice tests the very conscience of civilization.

Written and directed by James Vanderbilt (Zodiac, Truth) and adapted from Jack El-Hai's acclaimed non-fiction work The Nazi and the Psychiatrist, NUREMBERG is a gripping historical thriller and a haunting psychological study. Led by Academy Award winners Russell Crowe and Rami Malek, and Oscar nominee Michael Shannon, the ensemble also features John Slattery, Richard E. Grant, Colin Hanks, Mark O'Brien, and Leo Woodall. Behind the camera, the film unites Oscar-nominated artists including cinematographer Dariusz Wolski (The Martian), production designer Eve Stewart (The King’s Speech), editor Tom Eagles (Jojo Rabbit), and composer Brian Tyler (Avengers: Age of Ultron).

In the trial of the century, NUREMBERG is the story of how justice was forged from the ashes of atrocity--and how, in facing the darkest chapters of history, humanity confronted the unsettling truth that evil is not born of madness, but of men. Experience the World War II thriller unfold on the big screen, only in theaters November 7.
