Starting tonight at 10 p.m. Eastern time, a show debuts in which
"masters of the American crime novel" like Lisa Scottoline, Michael
Connelly, Jonathan Kellerman and Faye Kellerman explore the real-life
crimes that inspired them to write. Called Murder by the Book,
the show airs on Court TV. Tonight's inaugural episode features James
Ellroy discussing the murder of his mother, a tragedy he wrote about
directly in My Dark Places.
