Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker), who earned an Oscar nomination for The Town, is "back in bank robbery mode" as the star of King of Heists, an adaptation of J. North Conway's book King of Heists: The Sensational Bank Robbery of 1878 That Shocked America, Deadline.com reported. Will Staples is writing the script.
Renner and his Combine partner Don Handfield will produce with Teddy Schwarzman of Black Bear Pictures, which optioned the book and plans to finance development and production.
