As part of an effort to increase involvement 
with the city, Transylvania University, Lexington, Ky., is moving its bookstore off-campus by a block "deeper into Lexington's urban core," according to the Lexington Herald-Leader. In the past several years, a series of campus bookstores have moved into the communities near their colleges and universities.
University president Owen Williams told the paper, "It is my intent that the boundary between us and Lexington should be evaporated. We're seeing an opportunity for us to benefit in the growth of Lexington. It's true that Lexington is a major selling point for us."
