Ginjer Buchanan, Ace and Roc Books editor-in-chief, will retire at the end of March after 30 years. During her career, she was nominated five times for the Hugo Award for Best Editor, Long Form and was a World Fantasy Award finalist in the Special Award, Professional category. In 2013 she received both the Solstice Award from the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America and the Skylark Award from the New England Science Fiction Association, for her contributions to the field.
"I've been very fortunate to work for three decades with many of the same colleagues and, in fact, many of the same authors," she said. "I will miss them all--but, since my job came out of my passion for the genre of science fiction and fantasy, I expect that I will be seeing them at conferences and conventions in the future."
