Last Thursday, the Mütter Museum in Philadelphia, Pa., hosted the publication party for Dr. Mütter's Marvels: A True Tale of Intrigue and Innovation at the Dawn of Modern Medicine (Gotham Books), a biography of Dr. Thomas Dent Mütter, the brilliant and eccentric medical innovator who revolutionized American surgery and founded the museum of medical oddities. Joseph Fox Bookshop handled book sales for the event.
