A "first look at Bradley Cooper as Navy SEAL Chris Kyle" is available in the trailer for American Sniper, based on the book American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History by Kyle, with Scott McEwen and Jim DeFelice, Deadline.com reported. Directed by Clint Eastwood from Jason Hall's script, the movie stars Sienna Miller, Jake McDorman, Luke Grimes, Navid Negahban and Keir O'Donnell. It opens Christmas day.

Jeff Daniels (Newsroom) is joining the cast of Ridley Scott's "high-profile sci-fi movie" The Martian, based on the novel by Andy Weir, the Hollywood Reporter wrote. Matt Damon stars in the film, with Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig and Kate Mara "circling the project" as potential cast members.
