Congratulations to Island Books, Mercer Island, Wash., which is celebrating its 45th anniversary on Saturday, November 3, from 4-6 p.m. The event will include champagne and cake. Customers are encouraged to bring photos of themselves taken in the 1970s to share on the store's board and to share stories about Island Books in its memory book.
