On Facebook, the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance showcased the new Cooking Demonstration Center at the Eagle Eye Book Shop in Decatur, Ga., which is "a counter they built for cookbook authors to use when they appear at the store for a book signing. It has a cooking unit, will have a small sink, and tilted mirrors so the audience can see what's cooking. They're calling it 'Cooking the Books.'
