A shortlist has been released for the 2024 Ockham New Zealand Book Awards. The prizes include the NZ$12,000 (about US$7,405) Booksellers Aotearoa New Zealand Award for Illustrated Nonfiction. The Ockham NZ Book Awards winners, including the four Mātātuhi Foundation Best First Book Awards recipients, will be named May 15 during the Auckland Writers Festival.
