Barnes & Noble will open a new store in Farmington, Conn., in the Westfarms Mall, next Wednesday, July 29. The store spans 22,000 square feet and replaces a B&N store that closed on South East Road in Farmington in May. It will not include a B&N Cafe.
Local author David Borges will be on hand for the grand opening. He will cut the ribbon before signing copies of his book UConn Basketball: An Illustrated Timeline (Reedy Press).
The Farmington store is the sixth new B&N to open in Connecticut over the last three years. The company has opened 18 stores so far this year and plans to open 60 by the end of the year.
