Brittany Snow (The Hunting Wives) has been added to the cast of the upcoming film The Housemaid's Secret, joining Sydney Sweeney, Kirsten Dunst, Michele Morrone, and Paul Anthony Kelly in the sequel to the $400-million-grossing blockbuster The Housemaid. Both films are based on Freida McFadden's novels. The Housemaid's Secret is set to open December 17, 2027.
Directed by Paul Feig, the production is from Hidden Pictures' Todd Lieberman; Pretty Dangerous Pictures' Laura Fischer and Feig; and Honey Trap's Sweeney. Lionsgate optioned McFadden's literary trilogy (as well as a short story) "early on, recognizing the potential for a female-driven feature franchise," Deadline noted. Screenwriter Rebecca Sonnenshine, who adapted the first book, will return for The Housemaid's Secret.
