On Monday, the Lake Forest Book Store, Lake Forest, Ill., and the Vernon Area Public Library, Lincolnshire, hosted an event for Dav Pilkey that drew more than 500 fans of Captain Underpants. Because of limited space, guests were assigned one of three arrival times: families gathered in a large meeting room at the library, where they watched Dav Pilkey film trailers and worked on a Captain Underpants craft.
