Shawn Donley is joining the Hachette Book Group as a sales rep in a newly created position in the Pacific Northwest that will be based in Portland, Ore., and will cover Washington State and Oregon. Donley has worked at Powell's Books in Portland, most recently as purchasing director, managing a team of eight buyers (both adult and children's) who buy for Powell's five retail locations. He is currently vice-president of the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association.
