The Reading Bug in San Carlos, Calif., will host the inaugural Kids Podcast Festival this Sunday, August 30. The event will bring together four family-friendly podcasts: Reading Bug Adventures, Dorktales Storytime, Folktales from Sudan, and the Ten News. There will be listening stations, giveaways, live performances, and more.
The bookstore launched the Reading Bug Adventures podcast in 2018. It features original stories and music written and performed by co-owner Lauren Savage, Reading Bug staff members, and assorted friends and family. It now has three spin-off podcasts: Lauren's Little Bedtime Stories, the Bookworm's Story Snacks, and the Fact Fly's One Big Question.
