The lead roles in the upcoming Fourth Wing TV series, based on Rebecca Yarros's bestselling Empyrean book series, have been cast. Deadline reported that Esther McGregor is playing the role of Violet Sorrengail and Emilio Sakraya will be Xaden Riorson.

Meredith Averill is the project's showrunner and executive producer. Lisa Joy directs the series premiere, and exec produces with Averill, Yarros, Jordan, and others.
