Assistant General Manager, Riverstone Books
Key roles include Store Manager for the North Hills Riverstone store - leader in creating & maintaining a positive work environment, developing an engaging customer experience & overseeing daily operations.
Manage Children’s departments at both stores including inventory & events
Lead & support the events team in creation & execution of non-author events & seek partnership opportunities for innovative community events
In partnership with marketing team members, ensure regular communication with our customers, & external messaging.
Support Owner and General Manager to grow the business
CHARACTERISTICS OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Significant experience in retail management (5 years+), with preference for bookselling experience, and a deep love of reading & books
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to foster teamwork that inspires commitment from others to achieve Riverstone’s goals and objectives
- Superior organizational skills, with an ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and exercise considerable judgment, discretion, and initiative
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to motivate, influence, and persuade
- Kindness, empathy, maturity and a sense of humor
Schedule Requirements: This is a full-time position, with a minimum of 40 hrs per week.
