- Minimum of 6 years of professional design experience in the publishing industry.
- Deep understanding of cover design across multiple genres, with a versatile style that reflects Norton’s diverse publishing program—from commercial nonfiction and fiction to history, poetry, and lifestyle.
- Exceptional typography, visual judgment, and conceptual problem-solving, demonstrated through a strong portfolio.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to think independently, generate original ideas, and bring a positive, collaborative approach to every project.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines, balance a flexible list, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a remote team is a plus.
